Frazadas are incredibly versatile textiles that can be used in countless ways to enhance your home. You can choose to use them as rugs, throws, bed coverings, picnic blankets, or wall hangings – the possibilities are endless!

Our frazadas are mainly sourced from villages around the Cuzco region, approximately 3400 metres up in the Andean mountains of Peru. Using the same techniques as countless generations before them, artisans take about a month to complete just one frazada. Made from sheep's wool and coloured with natural dyes they are luxuriously thick and each one is unique in colour, texture and design, ensuring that no two pieces are the same.

Due to the time and effort required to create these incredible textiles, and the rise of the mining industry in Peru, artisans are going in search of better sources of income to provide for their families and as a result the practice of weaving these textiles is in sharp decline. Frazadas and other traditional handmade products are therefore becoming more and more scarce. Our aim is to ensure that this ancient tradition continues to be past down through the generations and that this beautiful expression of Peruvian and Andean culture has the opportunity to be showcased in people's homes around the world.
